5.4. Electric System
5.4.1. Alternator
The alternator is fitted with integral silicon
rectifiers. A transistorized regulator
mounted on the alternator limits the
alternator voltage evenly. The alternator
should be operated with the regulator and
battery connected in circuit to avoid the
damage of the rectifier and regulator.
The alternator is maintenance free, but it
must be protected against dust and above
all against moisture therefore it must be
mounted a cover for protector properly.
(1) Inspection Point (In case of abnormal charging)

Voltage measurement between terminal and alternator body during operation.
<Voltage during operation> <Voltage during stop>
For the confirmation of wiring state, measurement of voltage should be carried out only at each
terminal during engine stop.
